Product dependencies Utilizing voice FAQs As an individual user, am I able to stop your AI Assistant from reading the messages? Will your AI Assistant read out everything shown in the Assist view?

The purpose of this feature is to allow for voice input in web assist and allow your AI Assistant to speak their messages aloud.

    Product dependencies

    Requires: Voice + Assist

This feature must be enabled on the backend by your CS Representative.

    Utilizing voice

When users open their assist widget, they will be greeted by your AI Assistant reading out loud their message. Users will then have the ability to speak a message to your assistant out loud using the microphone button in the message bar.

After clicking this button and allowing access to their microphone, the user is now able to speak their message. A card will display that shows that the microphone is actively listening. After the user is done speaking, their message will display as a preview that is editable.

    • Note: If the user does not click on the text or begin to edit it within 3 seconds (denoted by the blue bar), this message will send.

If a user needs to edit the information that was understood, they can click anywhere on the card to start editing the text in the first three seconds. Once the user has edited the information, they will be able to confirm or cancel their message. If they confirm their message, it will be sent. If they cancel their message, the message will be erased, and the user will be returned to the original state.

    FAQs

As an individual user, am I able to stop your AI Assistant from reading the messages?

Currently, there is no way for a user to turn off the sound of your AI Assistant directly in the CEM. However, the user is able to either mute the tab that they are currently on inside of their browser to stop the sound from being audible.

Will your AI Assistant read out everything shown in the Assist view?

No, your AI Assistant will only read aloud the messages that accompany any other functionality inside of Assist. For example, if your AI Assistant provides a list of locations to a user, your AI Assistant will not read aloud every single location, and will only read aloud the message prior to the list of locations.
