Candidate Volume Optimizer: Turning on jobs
Table of Contents
When you turn a job on in My Jobs that utilizes the Candidate Volume Optimizer (CVO) feature, then the flow when turning on a job will depend on one of the following:
- If a threshold value was set during configuration.
- If the job is already open.
- If you are manually turning the job on.
Turning on a job with a pre-set value
If a threshold value was entered when a job was targeted on the backend by your CS Representative, then that value will display by default when the job is turned on. The user will have the option to update this value if needed before selecting Post Job.
Workday integration: Job threshold experience
If you have a Workday integration, then the threshold value set in Workday will be sent along with the job feed and update the Hiring Goal value for a job in My Jobs. The value will only update when the job is initially turned on; any value sent after that will be ignored.
Important Note: You do have the option of overriding or editing this value within My Jobs, but any updates will not transfer back to Workday. In addition to this, a job that is defaulted on but that does not have a threshold value set will continue to accept unlimited candidates until this threshold is configured.
Turning on a job with no pre-set value
- If no threshold value was entered when this job was targeted, then you will be required to enter a value between 1 and 1000 in the Hiring Goal section. You can post the job once this value is entered.
- If you have jobs already toggled when this feature is enabled, the jobs that are already on will not have any impact. This functionality will be applied the next time that a job is turned on.
Active job brought over from an integrated ATS without threshold value
If the threshold value was brought over from your integrated ATS and it was left empty for a job that is automatically turned on when it comes into the system, then the threshold is set to unlimited. However, if you need to enter a value, then you will have the ability to do so but are not required to do so.
Edit a job's existing threshold value
As needed, users can edit an existing job's threshold value by clicking into the active job in My Jobs and updating the value listed. When they confirm the changes made, updates will be shown to future candidates.
