Configuration Step #1: Enable settings in Client Setup Step #2: Translate Q&A responses

This guide outlines how to enable a multilingual knowledge base (CMS).

    Configuration

Step #1: Enable settings in Client Setup

Users with full access to Client Setup can complete the below steps.

    1. Select All Apps in the top left corner of the header and then Settings from its drop-down menu.
    2. When the Settings page opens, select Client Setup under the Paradox Tools section.
    3. From the left panel of Client Setup, scroll down and open the Multilingual section.
    4. Toggle on both the Platform Language and Q&A - Translation on the fly settings.
    5. From both settings, select the languages that the AI Assistant should translate.
      • Note: The Platform Language setting is used for Olivia Assist while the Q&A - Translation on the fly setting is used for Candidate and Employee Q&A responses.
    6. Save the section.

Only check the languages that you need. Adding more can complicate the system.

    Step #2: Translate Q&A responses

Users with full access to the Candidate Q&A section of the CMS will be able to complete the below steps.

    1. Select All Apps in the top left corner of the header and then CMS from its drop-down menu.
    2. The CMS will open to the Candidate Q&A section. Select the languages icon next to the search bar and select the language that should be translated.
    3. The system will automatically translate the original/ default responses that are in English in the CMS. This can take up to 5 minutes as it is translating the responses for the first time.
      • Note: If it is taking longer than 5 minutes and won’t publish, then submit a support ticket on this issue, noting it as a bug.
    4. When the responses are translated, you can then edit responses as needed.
    5. Publish the CMS.
    6. Repeat these steps for every preferred language.
    7. If utilizing Employee Communications, repeat these steps for the Employee Q&A section of the CMS.

It is important that you pay close attention to the multilingual knowledge base you are working on. Be sure to always double-check the language code to ensure you are editing the correct knowledge base.

    Step #3: Customize language responses

Work with your CS Representative to customize the key multilingual intent responses that your AI Assistant will answer.
