Add translations to an existing interview Update translations to an existing interview

Recorded interviews can be automatically translated into other languages from the Recorded Interviews Builder.

Add translations to an existing interview

This process can also be followed when a user wants to add a new language to an existing interview with languages already translated.

Once a recorded interview is created in English, you can enable auto-translation for additional languages. To do this, follow the steps below.

    1. Select All Apps in the top left corner of the header and then Settings in its drop-down menu.
    2. When the Settings page opens, select Recorded Interview Builder under the Scheduling section.
    3. From the Recorded Interviews page, click into the preferred recorded interview.
    4. Select the English (en) selector in the upper-right corner of the section and then choose the languages that you want to add translations for.
    5. Click outside of the drop-down menu.
    6. A modal will then open, notifying you of the number of languages that will be translated. Select Got it to initiate the translations.
    7. Publish the interview.

The interview details will then be translated into the selected languages and saved in different tabs.

Update translations to an existing interview

New languages can be added to and auto-translated for recorded interviews, even when languages have been previously added.

Recorded interviews with questions that have been initially translated cannot be re-translated if questions in English have been updated. These questions will have to be manually translated. However, newly-added questions will be automatically translated when the interview is published.

Questions can only be added in English.
