We've put together a list of your frequently asked questions (FAQ) on Paradox Analytics.

    General

Q: What’s new in this release?

We rebuilt our Analytics tool from the ground up. Shaped by years of client feedback, we've removed friction from static templates, failed exports, and support-heavy workflows. This new experience is faster, more flexible, and available to help you make better, data-driven decisions.

This isn’t just a new user interface, it’s a complete rebuild. Backed by a unified data model and a modern foundation, Paradox Analytics eliminates legacy pain points and scales with your team.

    Included in this release:

    • Self-Service Reporting & Dashboards
      • Build reports with our new report builder using a core group of flexible, dynamic templates (replacing 250+ legacy reports).
      • Apply real-time filters, preview data instantly, and schedule reliable, recurring deliveries via SFTP or email.
      • Create custom charts and dashboards with bar charts, line charts, scorecards, and text — then save, share, schedule, or export report data as CSV/XLSX and visuals as PNG or PDF.
    • Trusted, Governed Data
      • Unified data model aligned to your workflows.
      • Support for custom attributes.
      • Role-based permissions to ensure users see only what they should.
    • Faster, Smarter Performance
      • Improved load times with fewer errors or timeouts.
      • Consistent, reliable metrics across all reports and dashboards.

Q: Why did we making these updates?

Our previous reporting experience required navigating rigid templates, manual exports, and support tickets to answer new questions. Paradox Analytics is designed to give you cleaner, more consistent data and the tools to build, schedule, and trust your own reports — without relying on custom one‑offs or additional help.

    Access, eligibility, and environments

Q: Who has access to Paradox Analytics at GA?

Paradox Analytics is available to all clients on the Olivia PROD and Olivia PROD EU instances as of May 12, 2026. Access is controlled by roles and permissions, so individual roles may need to be granted the appropriate Analytics visibility by a system administrator.

Q: How do users get access or request permissions?

Admins can grant Analytics access through existing roles & permissions. If a user can’t see Paradox Analytics under All Apps > Analytics, check their role and update it to include Analytics access. If you’re unsure which roles to use, your Paradox CSM can help you configure a recommended permission model.

    Pricing

Q: Is there an additional cost for Paradox Analytics?

No. Paradox Analytics is included in your existing Paradox subscription for eligible environments. There is no additional fee to access the new Analytics experience or to self‑migrate your reports.

Q: Is there a cost for help with migration?

Our standard migration support is included at no additional cost. This covers:

    • Q&A with Product and Data team members (reach out to your CSM to coordinate)
    • Help site content, step-by–step guides, and training recordings
    • Light guidance from your Paradox/Workday representative on how to approach your transition

If you’d like Workday/Paradox to do more of the hands‑on work for you — for example, auditing your current reporting landscape and rebuilding a large set of reports and dashboards on your behalf — that would be delivered as a paid services engagement and formalized through a Statement of Work (SOW).

    Timeline and migration expectations

Q: What can we expect with the new analytics experience?

During General Availability, Paradox Analytics will be fully live and supported for all clients, with a structured transition from legacy reporting. Here’s what you can expect:

    1. Continued access to both experiences (for now): You’ll have access to both Paradox Analytics and the Legacy Report Center during an interim period. This lets you explore the new experience, rebuild key reports, and validate results before fully switching over. A formal legacy deprecation date will be communicated well in advance.
    2. A guided path to rebuild your essentials: We’ll provide migration resources to make the move as smooth as possible, including:
      • “Recreate This Report” examples for common legacy views
      • Step‑by‑step rebuild guides and best‑practice templates
      • Office hours and working sessions with our team if you want hands‑on help
    3. Ongoing enhancements, not a frozen product: This release is a major milestone, but not the finish line. You’ll continue to see:
      • New metrics, filters, and dimensions added based on client feedback
      • Improvements to dashboards, exports, and performance
      • Updates on larger features like expanded historical coverage and additional export options
    4. Clear communication and support: You’ll receive periodic updates on:
      • New capabilities as they’re released
      • Any changes to the legacy/Paradox Analytics timeline
      • Recommended actions so you know exactly what to do and when

Q: Do we need to move off legacy reporting right away?

Not immediately. After General Availability (GA), there is a structured transition period where both Paradox Analytics and legacy reporting remain available.

We do expect clients to begin self‑migrating now by rebuilding the reports they rely on most. A formal legacy retirement date will be communicated well in advance.

Q: When will legacy reporting be fully retired?

Legacy reporting will be retired later in 2026. The exact cutoff date is still being finalized. Once confirmed, we’ll share a clear deprecation timeline and multiple reminders so you have time to complete your migration.

Q: What do you expect us to do during the transition?

    We recommend you:

    1. Identify the legacy reports you actively use (especially those used for leadership reviews, QBRs, and operational reporting).
    2. Rebuild those reports in Paradox Analytics using the new templates and support guides.
    3. Validate results and set up schedules/exports so your stakeholders continue to receive what they need.

Q: What happens to my existing reports?

Your existing reports in the Legacy Report Center will continue to run for now, but they will not be automatically migrated to the new builder. As we move forward, the primary path will be self‑migration: rebuilding the reports you still need in Paradox Analytics using our templates, guides, and examples.

All clients will fully transition to the new Paradox Analytics later in 2026, at which point legacy reporting will be retired. Ahead of that date, we’ll:

    • Share clear timelines and reminders
    • Provide “Recreate This Report” examples and step‑by‑step rebuild guides
    • Offer office hours and working sessions if you’d like help prioritizing and rebuilding your most important reports

Our goal is to make self‑migration straightforward and supported, so you can take advantage of the new capabilities while maintaining continuity for your key reporting.

    Parity, features, and “what’s different”

Q: Does Paradox Analytics have full parity with legacy reporting today?

Paradox Analytics already covers a broad set of core recruiting metrics — including standard “Time‑to‑X” and conversion metrics — and supports flexible filtering and visualization. Some edge‑case metrics, fields, and historical views may still be missing or in progress. Where you see gaps, we want to hear from you so we can prioritize bringing those into the new experience and get as close to 1:1 parity as possible where it truly matters.

Q: What can I do in legacy reporting that I can’t do in Paradox Analytics yet?

A small number of specialized metrics, historical slices, or niche filters may not yet be available in Paradox Analytics. In addition, full dashboard export via Power Point is planned for a future release. We are actively closing these gaps and will communicate as new capabilities go live.

Q: Will my existing scheduled reports and distributions continue to run?

Yes, for now. Legacy scheduled reports will continue to run during the transition period. However, they will not be auto‑migrated. To prepare for legacy retirement, you’ll need to recreate the underlying reports and schedules in Paradox Analytics.

    Data, security, & governance

Q: Is the data in Paradox Analytics the same as what we see in legacy reports?

Paradox Analytics relies on a unified, governed data model that uses the same underlying source data, but with improved consistency and alignment to your workflows. In some cases, metric definitions may be standardized or clarified to eliminate mismatches you may have seen between exports, dashboards, and legacy reports.

Q: How is data security handled in Paradox Analytics?

Access to reports and dashboards is governed through the platform’s role‑based permissions, aligned with your existing security model. Users only see the data their roles allow them to see, helping you safely extend analytics access beyond a small admin group.

Q: Does Paradox Analytics support custom attributes?

Yes. Paradox Analytics supports custom attributes to reflect your specific recruiting processes and segments. If you don’t see a custom attribute you rely on, contact your Paradox representative so we can confirm mapping and availability.

    Exploring reports

Q: How are templates different now?

Templates in the new builder are flexible. They expand or contract based on the fields and metrics you choose, replacing hundreds of static reports with a smaller set of smarter starting points.

Q: Can I build a report from scratch?

Yes. You can select any available field or metric to create a completely custom report.

Q: What’s the difference between a published and unpublished report?

    • Published :A published report is live and used for scheduled deliveries.
    • Unpublished: A draft version that you can edit without affecting the live version.

Q: Can I share or schedule reports?

Yes. Reports can be shared in-platform for real-time viewing or scheduled for delivery via email or SFTP. They can be sent as a one-time delivery or on a recurring cadence.

Q: How far back can I pull data?

Up to 3 years. If you need additional history for a specific use case, contact your Paradox CSM so we can review your needs.

Q: What formats are supported for export?

You can download reports in CSV or XLSX format. Dashboard exports  are supported in PNG and PDF

Q: Can I create my own templates?

Not directly. You can’t create new templates, but you can duplicate any report you’ve built and use that copy as a starting point. Duplicating reports acts like a custom template, giving you a consistent, reusable pattern you can adjust and share across your team.

Q: If a field is missing, how can I request it?

First, check whether the field is available under a different name or category. If it’s not available, contact your Paradox CSM to submit a request. We’re actively expanding the library of metrics and dimensions based on client feedback.

Q: What performance improvements can I expect?

The new builder is built on an optimized data model and improved infrastructure, significantly reducing the likelihood of report timeouts. While extremely large or complex queries may still require adjustments, most users will notice faster performance and more reliable results.

Q: How often is data refreshed?

Data is automatically refreshed every 3 hours to provide timely, reliable insights throughout the day.

    Performance and reliability

Q: Will Paradox Analytics fix the timeout and export issues we saw before?

Yes — that’s a core goal of this rebuild. Paradox Analytics runs on an optimized data model and modern infrastructure designed to significantly reduce timeouts and failures. Extremely large or complex queries may still require tuning, but most clients should see noticeably faster, more reliable performance than with legacy reporting.

Q: What should we do if a report in Paradox Analytics feels slow or returns an error?

First, try narrowing filters or date ranges to confirm if query size is the issue. If the problem persists, capture the report name, filters, and approximate run time and share them with Support or your Paradox representative so we can investigate and optimize.
