Create a Lookup Table Duplicate a Lookup Table

Lookup Tables are designed to store data to be used in calculating System Attributes. This first version of Lookup Tables was designed to interface with Job Data Packages (JDP) to help calculate job data that may vary by location and any other attribute defined on the job. These tables can also be used in Integrations as a more complex version of Mapped Values, allowing for multiple inputs to lead to a single output.

    Create a Lookup Table

Users with full access to the Lookup Tables permission can complete the following steps to create a new table.

    1. Select All Apps in the top left corner of the header and then Settings from the drop-down menu.
    2. From the Settings page, select Lookup Tables under the Platform section.
    3. The Lookup Tables page will then open. Select + Create Table from the upper-right corner of the Active Lookup Tables list.
    4. From the slide-out drawer that opens, enter a unique Table Name.
    5. In the File Upload section, drag and drop a file or click the box to browse for a file from your computer.
      • Note: Ensure that the file is a CSV and less than 5 MB.
    6. When the file is successfully added, a Confirm Headers section will display and include an Import As column. Enter in a more readable column name for each column title displayed under the Import As column.
    7. Select Create in the bottom right corner of the drawer.

    Duplicate a Lookup Table

If you are creating multiple tables that need a simple adjustment from a previous table, then you can easily duplicate an existing table and make any necessary changes. To do this,

    1. Select All Apps in the top left corner of the header and then Settings from the drop-down menu.
    2. From the Settings page, select Lookup Tables under the Platform section.
    3. The Lookup Tables page will then open. Hover over the preferred Lookup Table in the Active Lookup Tables list and select its action menu, or ellipses.
    4. Select Duplicate from the drop-down list that opens.
    5. A copy of the Lookup Table will be added to the list. Hover over the copied Lookup Table; select its action menu, or ellipses; and then select Edit.
    6. Update the table name and any necessary fields.
    7. Select Save in the bottom right corner of the drawer.
